April 5, 2022 (West Palm Beach, FL) — Juan Winans reaches the top of the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart, with “Never on My Own,” entering this week at Number 1. This is Winans’ second consecutive Number 1 song, previously hitting Number 1 with his first single, “It Belongs To Me,” last year.

Never On My Own” hits the peak slot this week after spending a few weeks in the Top 5. This week, the groovy R&B-tinged duet with sister actress Deborah Joy Winans is Number 2 on the Mediabase Gospel Airplay Chart. The Warryn Campbell produced tune has connected with audiences thanks to the pair’s soulful vocals and the old-school R&B feel.

“Juan is an incredibly gifted songwriter and concept artist. So much more to come! Watch this space!” said Michael-Anthony “Mooki” Taylor, DARE Records CEO & Chairman.

Winans, who was thrilled when heard the news, said, “For the first two songs off my debut solo album to go number #1 feels incredible!” “Ultimately it’s a testament to my incredible team at Dare Records! They have tremendous belief in the work I’m doing and, as an artist there’s no better feeling. I’m sharing this with my sister Deborah Joy Winans which is amazing. I specifically wanted to do “Never On My Own” with her because we’ve always had each other’s backs. We are keeping it in the family! Thank you to all the radio stations and program directors across the country for this support. I’m deeply grateful.”

Winans is readying the release of his first solo full-length album set for release later this year on DARE Records and the debut of a powerful new song entitled “Now.” Tapping into the dire need for change in our country, “NOW” is a compelling statement to the culture, reminding us of the power and importance of making our voices heard through voting. Interspersed throughout the song, listeners can hear the mighty voice of the leader and champion of voting rights, the late Congressman John Lewis.

Last week, the Grammy-nominee was honored at the 2022 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards for his success with “It Belongs To Me.”  Winans also performed “NOW,” at the Annual “Influencers Brunch” last week in Los Angeles at the “Influencers Brunch,” a pre-Oscars fete was hosted by Anthony Anderson and Chris Spencer.
