Erica Campbell has done it again! She just snagged her third solo top spot on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart with her track “Feel Alright (Blessed)” on July 29. And get this, the song’s plays surged by 3% in just a week, ending July 20! Thanks to Luminate for those stats.
This amazing track is a sneak peek from her upcoming album, “ opens in a new windowI Love You,” set to drop on Sept. 15. And fun fact: she co-penned this tune with her husband, Warryn Campbell, and the talented Marvin L. Winans.
Erica says to Billboard, “I can’t believe this song hit No. 1! With everything going on, we all need a bit of joy and hope. ‘Feel Alright (Blessed)’ reminded me of my blessings, and I’m stoked to have others vibe and dance to it. Here’s to hoping you all feel the love and warmth of Jesus through this song.”
Based in LA, Erica is also rocking the airwaves with her radio show, “Get Up! Mornings With Erica Campbell.”
Erica, along with her sister Tina, forms the iconic duo Mary Mary. This makes her third solo No. 1 on the Gospel Airplay chart, right after “Positive” in August 2022 and “Call” with Jor’dan Armstrong in December. With seven solo top 10s, she’s on fire!
Speaking of Mary Mary, they’ve had their fair share of chart-toppers. Who can forget “ opens in a new windowHeaven” back in 2005, “God in Me” in 2009, or their feature on PJ Morton’s “All in His Plan” in 2020? Pure gospel gold!
